More than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s and it is estimated someone develops the disease every 66 seconds.
While there is no cure for the disease there are lifestyle habits you can adopt to help reduce your risk. It is also important to know the early warning signs of Alzheimer’s, for yourself and your loved ones. If you suspect a problem, don’t wait to talk to a doctor. There are other health problems or medications that can cause memory loss, or other symptoms similar to dementia, and if Alzheimer’s is suspected finding out early allows families more time to plan and prepare for right kind of care.
