Join us on Tuesday August 9th for a special event. Community Outreach Deputy T. Knight with the Chesterfield Police Department will be here to present two programs created to help you in the event of a medical emergency.
The File of Life is a free medical information card where you document current medications, allergies, medical history, and any specific health conditions.
The card is placed in a small folder with a magnet on the back and hung on the refrigerator. Then affix the small sticker provided on a front window or door. In the event of an emergency the sticker lets medical responders know to look for the File of Life on the refrigerator where they can see your specific medical conditions and needs.
The Yellow Dot is a similar safety program designed to save you valuable time in the event of an automobile-related incident. Simply complete the provided medical information card and place in your glove compartment. Affix the provided Yellow Dot decal to the outside rear window on the driver’s side. During an emergency, the Yellow Dot will alert first responders to look inside your glove compartment for pertinent medical information.
Hear more about these life-saving programs and get your own File of Life and Yellow Dot at no charge.
