Worldwide more than 47 million people are living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. In the United States it is the 6th leading cause of death. To raise awareness and funds to fight the disease the Alzheimer’s Association and the staff at The Memory Center Richmond and Virginia Beach encourage you to participate in The Longest Day.
The Longest Day is team event sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association and held annually on the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. The 2016 sunrise-to-sunset event takes place on June 20th and symbolizes the challenging journey of those living with the Alzheimer’s as well as their caregivers.
The Memory Center, Richmond is hosting a special event for The Longest Day including entertainment, a cookout and crafts made by our

5-6:30 pm- Family Cookout
6:30 pm- Live Piano Concert
